This website brings together four decades of work at the coalface of planning.

John Mant worked on the international stage, fielded new thinking and new regimes in business and government to provide some very practical insights to the very complex world of planning our cities for a better and more synergistic future. There's still more to be done as the population on our planet moves more and more into cities and with higher expectations of improved living standard. Planning... clear thought... has never been more needed.

"The built environment doesn't have to be soul-less or reflect the apparent normal state of chaos that we see throughout nature. My personal agenda has always been to find economic solutions that put social amenity first... after all, we build for people, their families, communities and enterprises, not for the magnificent structures themselves that come from an inspired line or form on paper."
